M16 Device Tool Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 17, 2026

This privacy policy applies to M16 Device Tool for iOS, provided by Innosonian Inc. M16 Device Tool is used to discover, connect to, test, update, and emulate nearby M16 devices over Bluetooth.

Information we do not collect

M16 Device Tool does not require an account and does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, photos, location, health data, advertising identifiers, payment information, or analytics data.

Bluetooth data

The app uses Bluetooth to discover nearby M16 devices, connect to a selected device, exchange device status and training protocol data, send firmware update data, and emulate an M16 device for validation. Bluetooth device identifiers, device names, signal strength, status values, CPR training values, and firmware update progress are processed locally on the iPhone or iPad and are not sent to Innosonian.

Local storage

The app may store local settings, firmware inventory cache, downloaded firmware payloads, and firmware update checkpoints on the device. This local data is used only to operate the app, support offline use, and recover firmware update state. It is not transmitted to Innosonian.

Firmware downloads

The app may contact the public Innosonian firmware repository hosted on GitHub over HTTPS to check for available firmware and download firmware files. These requests are used only for app functionality. GitHub may process standard network request information, such as IP address, request time, and requested file path, as necessary to provide and secure its service. Innosonian does not use this information for advertising, analytics, or tracking.

Tracking and advertising

M16 Device Tool does not display ads, does not use third-party advertising SDKs, and does not track users across apps or websites.

Children's privacy

M16 Device Tool is intended for device testing, firmware update, and CPR training equipment workflows. The app is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
